How to distract your attention:

The reactions to the illegal expropriations in Palestine have been strangely muted. Puzzled by the relative lack of interrest in the Western press, it suddenly dawned on me that camouflage was an essential part of the offensive strategy. Otherwise, it is difficult to explain how an officially sanctioned theft - the confiscation of rightfully owned property which is about to be turned into money through sombre channels - could have gone almost completely unnoticed. This is how it was done:

On the surface, it is a conflict between two Russian-Orthodox churches. Western Journalist and politicians are not interested in churches and even less so in Russian-Orthodox ones. While such a conflict takes place for the outside world, the high-scale theft is carried out on another level: on one side you find Palestinian authorities (who will, of course, receive generous compensation for their criminal act), on the other side representatives of the Russian diplomatic corps in Tel Aviv and Gaza. Currently unknown is, what funds were provided specifically for this action and how much is only indirectly promised as Moscow's recognition and developmental aid (in turn received from the West as developmental aid for Russia) to the evolving Palestinian state.

But back to the illusion, the reason why you prefer to ignore this conflict (keep in mind that this model could be used in many other situations, too): If there are "Red-Russians" (Moscow Patriarchate) involved, they are presented only as an alibi for the Palestinians to expropriate a property owned by the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission since 1882 (entering the exiled Russian-Orthodox Church Outside Russia [ROCOR] some 65 years ago). So this is where the "White-Russians" (the Palestinian term for ROCOR) come in - or, rather, are thrown out. With the presence of 2-3 "Red-Russians" on the expropriated compound and the apparent toleration of two "White-Russian" nuns occupying a garden house, the impression is made of an ecclesiastical conflict, which seems to work in distracting from the criminal background. Meanwhile, there are constantly about 10 persons from the Russian General Consulate on the expropriated ground in Jericho, and they are behaving in a most unclerical manner, too. They are the ones that will eventually inhabit this property once the conflict has been forgotten.

There are definitely quite a few secret deals behind this dirty game. Once successful, the principle can be applied to a similar expropriation of a firm in the name and apparent favour of so-called "victims" - it is all a matter of interpretation. For this reason, you should perhaps indeed pay attention to what is happening in Jericho right now?
