The German Organization
against landmines has constructed an impressive list of 261 firms from
51 countries, many of whom are operating in signifying countries, which
construct either the weapon itself or essential supplies for it. The
list can be viewed here,
and based on that, I have constructed a list of countries and the
number of firms - big or small alike - operating in them. So look if
your country is represented in the disgraceful list and pose the
question to (1) a government source, (2) the company accused and (3)
the editors of the list either Mr.
Küchenmeister or Mrs.
Dubslaff, who shall probably be happy to receive (and investigate)
the message that the firm - possibly the nation - has been 'cleared' of
its co-responsibility and will disappear from future lists.
